We started the day at 0430 by shuttling everyone down the to train station in Champaign.  The AMTrak was a few minutes late, which proved to be a problem later in the day.  Once it train did arrive, we found that the passenger compartment was full, so the conductor placed us in the viewing galley.  The viewing galley is apparently the area that passengers go to cool off since it was about 55 degrees during the whole trip.... brrrrrr.

The AMTrak ran about 30 min late and we had to get one of our members to the airport at noon for an earlier flight.  After arriving at Union station we hustled down to the Subway so we could head to Chicago O'Hare.  We ended up missing the first subway, so one of the Advisors took the Explorer who needed to catch his flight soon in a cab.  The decision ended up saving us a lot of head ache since the subway was delayed for about 45 min. during the run from Union station to O'Hare.

We hung out at the Airport for 5 hours, and then boarded our plane to Anchorage.  We had planned to explore Chicago for a few hours, but ended up staying at the airport since the new rules for TSA don't allow for baggage to be check earlier than 4 hours prior to a flight.

We got onto the plane and headed from Chicago straight to Anchorage.  We arrived on time and met our families, then went home after a great week of Explori
