We started the day out the day by walking over to the local IHOP.  We're getting plenty of exercise as the IHOP is about 1.5 miles away.  Everyone shopped at the downtown stores and then we came home.  In the afternoon we decided to have a physical training (PT) session.  The weather was much cooler today and overcast.  After stretching we started a 30 min. slow jog.  During the run we saw many other posts walking around campus.  It was obvious that they were wondering what we were doing.  So we came up with a short cadence while we ran.  It went like this.

I don't know but I've been told. 

Anchorage Explorers are mighty cold.

Flown all the way from the last frontier.

We are here to make you fear.

This evening we had dinner, then attended the opening ceremony for the conference.  There was a color guard, bag pipers, a laser light show and the crew here lined up 3 great speakers to set the tone for the conference.

After the ceremony, everyone had the chance to meet their fellow explorers.

Everyone keeps saying "You’re from Alaska?"

Tomorrow the competitions and seminars start.
